Kerri
The main frame of this piece is meant to serve as a symbol of history and her family, the framework from which everything hangs. Top and center is adorned with a stone taken from her class ring. While along each edge there are hand engraved olive branches. The inspiration for these came from the Emblem of Israel and pay homage to her Jewish history.
Side One.
A Hamsa is an ancient Middle Eastern symbol that holds a variety of meanings across cultures. It is regarded in all faiths as a protective talisman that brings good fortune, health, happiness and protection from the evil eye. Used often in Jewish symbolism this is another nod to Kerri’s jewish history.
Side Two.
This is the side that is a little less traditional and pays tribute to the sacred ways in which we are all connected. A peridot, Kerri, sits at the center surrounded by diamonds who represent those closest to her now, and those who may no longer be with us.
