To be a fly on the wall in the life of this couple looks a little like this. Snowboarding adventure, pilates class, camping trip, electronic music night out, chef, inspirational quote, good food, good wine, flash of bright red hair, ADVENTURE. These two have a formula for life figured out, and it's one that might make some envious. On the move, always pushing their limits, lots of flow state. These guys are out there living it and they're doing it on their own terms.
So, how to design for them... From a design stand point it felt like there needed to be an homage paid to the way they live. Some tone of experience, secret coordinates, an echo of a compass... A constant navigation back to one another. Nothing done in a very traditional way since that adjective, these guys aren't.
We chose a black rustic diamond for the center stone, a gorgeous checkerboard one at that. One has hints of transparency and just enough opaque to keep it mysterious. Accented with a few brilliant cuts on each side to add a little sparkle. A platinum setting so it'll with stand anything they put it through.
What are the numbers you ask? Well, if you really want to know, I'll let you dig into that yourself. I'll keep my mouth shut about it and just say that it's a place that holds a special spot in their hearts.
